Good morning,America!

"All past history, including the history of movements, ideas, politics, economics, wars, religion is but the history of the class struggle, regardless of whether it was carried on by nations, countries, empires or distinçt groups or classes" (Karl Marx)

Is it wise for the great United States to claim that socialism is "dead"?

In my experience people like Michael O Riordain of the Communist Party of Ireland who believed in the nostrums of Karl Marx were only artificers but their doctrines promulgated the profound truths of the age of capitalism and imperialism.

O Riordain wanted me to go to prison for infanticide after he made his 'cam is casta' ( twisted and bent) pronunçiamento on 23 December 1991. He knew that I had been subjected to a campaign of dehumanisation by  guttersnipes and Gardai and that I had been poisoned by the CIA/CPI's Mad Mike Mc Gwire (Teesside University). Opium and cocaine were laid in the water supply to No. 358 Saint Teresa's Gardens and angel dust and Chlenbuterol was spread on the floor of my flat by housebreakers who acted on the orders of Paddy Burke and Michael Lawlor.

Why so?

I had shown considerable interest in Marx's socialism and in the philosophical tenet of his outlined in the opening passage. I think that it originates from 1847-1848. On this thesis, historical materialism pivots.

An outright liberal? Myself?Not so!

America,is it wise to let people with a paranoidal personality disorder run such a politically-charged organisation as the CIA or allow strike breakers, anti-abortion rabblerousers and undemocratic and unregulated candidates run for President?

And,when it comes to it,should the focus of any public undertaking other than entertainment be a homosexual?

American capitalism?

Marx is on firmer ground in Grundrisse (Foundations,1856-58). America has always been a capitalist nation since its early beginnings as a colony, the Aztecs and Incas apart.

In terms of Columbus arriving in Hispaniola, this is what he claims to be the beginning of capitalism.

However, others such as Tom Hadden believe that capitalism originated with Venetian risk-sharing for the purposes of maritime trade.

Marx's philosophy

Marx,I think, said that in the end,we all disappear into the ether. Why strive for socialism and national democracy when all things must pass, therefore?

Because we are all social beings, perhaps not exclusively the product of social relations but also people with a finite existence and all the frets and foibles, courageous endeavours and strengths and weaknesses of the human condition.

Communism then,one day,possibly?

No! The utopian dreams which Lenin and the Bolsheviks nurtured turned to dust in April 1918. Then, nationalised trusts in different industries collapsed.

Thereafter, things were accomplished by solely dictatorial methods though the early idealism remained strong for decades.

The selfish gene?

Likewise,no!

Self-interest?

Yes,but try as America might to avoid the issue, CLASS is a FACT which refuses to go away. It is not Stalinism which is the problem but the fear of TYRANNY which haunts the American mind.

But I see in America conversely,a TYRANNY, not a beacon of hope; in Britain,a POLICE STATE and in the police in Northern Ireland,an armed gang of largely lawless individuals with very few redeeming qualities.
