Not the way forward! The alternative to neglect

 Why should the US once have had 2 000 000 psychiatric inmates before Reagan closed the psychiatric hospitals and let the poor creatures wander the streets,hungry,cold and aimless like the ' lost chicks of Israel' who Jesus longed to gather under his wing?(Today the psychiatric population is 400 000).

The situation requires not hospitals but care homes for the wretched of the earth who have had no roof over their heads for long years past,daycare with dual-trained staff and government workshops,sheltered housing on the only modern basis possible, namely,public housing not housing associations,private provision or third parties such as supported living.

Let Biden and the proud poor take to heart a wise Jewish lyricist who says,simply and profoundly in "Forever young",

"May you let others do for you..."

Neither...nor...

It is time for America to put military manufacturing workers on  contracts of employment and end the uncertainty of self-employment. The US Government is paying astronomical salaries and prejudicing America's combat readiness. 

Self-employment?

More people in 'real' jobs,that being direct employment,entails less people dodging taxation and social security payments which form the basis of social provision. More people paying social insurance taxes means more money for social spending and public services and enhanced pay for those delivering those services. In favour of this proposition,it must be said,public medicine reduces the amount of needless social waste on national overheads and allows US workers to price themselves back into the workplace.

Imperialism?War and peace?

A less narrow and less warlike attitude is called for by sensible people and a more rounded,wholesome approach to social problems.

The financial crisis in government?

One thing Trump got right is that America can not afford to be the World's Policeman.

Warmongering?

Defence analysts in the Georgetown Institute are excellent at spinning yarns about the need for more means of DESTROYING.

Let this particular brand of American hyperbole fall on deaf ears and the US begin the task of CONSTRUCTING.
