America and the Fall of US imperialism

Since Reagan's two tenures as President,the US has been fatally holed and irretrievably damaged by loose fiscal and financial controls. Now it is openly challenged by the Russians militarily and Chinese economically.

The economic baton in this relay race has been passed to Russia and China.America in the words of a PSNI arresting officer in Derry "must wind in its neck".

After an apogee of war,random acts of violence and widespread hooliganism the US has been militarily challenged  and economically outpaced.

Throughout the West, America's mawkish sentimentality and military aggression was regarded as an unalterable constant. Its power has now been shown like that of Babylon to stand  on feet of clay.

This behemoth we have waited vainly for generations to be challenged. Now it has been, but for entirely "internal" reasons as Vladimir Putin sees them.

 How many hundreds of wars and proxy wars have emanated from American militarism and imperialism? 

We can but guess.

In Ireland,the assured certainties of American power were established in the 1960's. Now it is time for a rethink of our priorities and conduct.

Millions are dead because of US aggression. Let Ireland break with the saccharine culture synonymous with US imperialism and try to lead other countries out of the superpower nexus. Let us chart an independent path to peace.

We say to the US Department of State, now that your reign of death, terror and murder and police government is openly challenged within and without that the US has lost its overriding imperative to create peace in the world. Look back on what you have been doing since the invasion of Nicaragua in 1837.

Your reign has been since the 1980's a reign built on shabby lies,medical cruelty, psychiatric murder, surgical death, lethal poisoning,illegal imprisonment and international banditry.

Take stock! The world is no longer marching to Yankee Doodle Dandy.

Fortress America 

The constant emphasis in the United States on the weapons of war and means of death is long overdue for change.

Noone is threatening America. The US is threatening and undermining other countries.

This has made necessary a European trading bloc and defensive manoeuvres by other countries.

Time for a basic rethink in the US if for no other reasons than political sanity and moral hygiene.

Death culture has backfired on the US if recent developments in politics are good guides.

Russia's desperate bid to avoid nuclear strangulation should be seen as a response to US aggression and its cinematic gung-ho ideaisation.

America,not the world,is a society which exports death and violence.

Time for change...real change,not makeover politics or the haberdashery of poisoning, guns and war....
