Real friends and false friends. True friends ..

True friends are people who you insult that try to get you to change your mind,never people who owe you money nor people who are afraid of you , people who help you and same thing,lend you money. (Very few people help one another with a genuine and contrite heart but you will find that sort of person, what Pearse called 'The Fool', everywhere in all countries and at all stages in history and not just since public charity became the normal way of giving to needy individuals).

"Noone knows who their real friends are unless they have had a Damascene Conversion because in Ireland,a writer or journalist and writer is allowed to run himself into the ground before his real friends or their bagmen intervene on his behalf. A beneficiary may prefer to help a witless sort of person or person lacking in common sense through a third party. The former may be the real benefactor of not just one but many charitable purposes. Often one doesn't know how to carry himself or how to fend off the attentions of nuisances and old maids."

In my instance,real friends are mainstream democrats, democratic socialists and republicans, Chinese Anglicans, Russian businessmen, Scottish nurses,lawyers and journalists,not Cliffite socialists or amateur dramaturgs.

It is when politicians and others cannot make any more roadway or money out of you that you find out if they were your friends.You will find when money is in short supply from you,none were real friends. They were hoaxers,admirers of wealth and selfish charlatans.

Both Kettyles and the Provo mouthpieces such as Kelly and Adams are in the pocket of the US State Department and Northern Ireland Policing Board and its predecessors. They get their information from right-wing research groups for news media organisations and from televised entertainment.
