The Age of Social Realism,1883-1948. The Age of Society,1948-1991. The Age of Idleness and Nuisance 1991 ff

 The age of moral idealism began with Marx's death. Then,those condemned by Lenin in 1911-3 as liquidators and otzovists set about creating a new God.

Their God?

Karl Marx.

This age ended by random necessity in 1948 when the gloss wore off Stalin's economic miracle and developments in socialism in the West took a different direction.

After the age of communist idealism-since that is all it was-came the decline of socialism as represented in its Eastern, Leninist form and the beginning of the age of society. Society launched in Britain,the Welfare State;in Germany and Japan, business unionism;in France,the Fifth Republic. Most economic recovery,it is claimed,was made possible by the Marshall Aid Plan. Whether that is true or not, elements of the Marxist perspective are still the best guide to a scientific (or clear) understanding of the role of the working class,those who have nothing to sell other than their labour.

Superceding all of these epochs is the police and medical terror. Everyone with modest expectations has had to live with this synthesis of man and beast since the formation of these august bodies of civil society advocates into a class in the eighteenth century.

Synonymous to all but the young ,is the Age of Idleness. That was superceded in Northern Ireland by Blair's Terror. Medical  outrages are based on threats,hollow certainties and the Advent of Universal Nuisance.
