Social equity?
The concept of 'a hand-up not a hand-out' requires a big raise in wages for the low- and middling- paid,a strong system of income supports and a health service free at the point of use.....
...... Nothing more,nothing less....
....however,what the national health service provides in Britain is another matter entirely.
Sceptics ask,"What is to be the extent of psychiatric hospital accomodation in the Brave New World of public health touted by police and politicians?"
The truth of the matter is that publicly-funded psychiatry is an enormous parasitic organism. This system of police gulags threatens the very economic viability of any country which falls under the hegemony of Marxist extremists and authoritarian headmen.
The paralysing grip of occultists such as doctors is allowed to dictate social outcomes and access to employment. A society which has universal public psychiatry does not respect the most elementary rights or recognised legal freedoms.
Those who accept the facts of life do not argue for our gigantic, unregulated National Health Service.
The NHS holds 13 300 000 prisoner in the United Kingdom. It can only do so because the government borrows against the security of a big economic improvement and an industrial revival. That improvement cannot come due to the suffocating and overpowering presence of the NHS. The NHS is a public enterprise based on the fatuous certainties of medicine. Much unfactual 'demand' for psychiatric services, bogus self-praise for medical worthies and a dysfunctional elite of social workers, judges and lawyers play their part in sustaining this ungovernable mess of promises and illusions..
If a dispelling of the myth of public probity of NHS functionaries were to begin,we could deal with the matter of how to apportion the wealth of society to medical consultants, doctors, nurses and perhaps the rest of us will get something from their overladen tables. At the present time, they have usurped police powers and political rights.
Our future Irish society has a choice which every average country- that is one not living off unearned income and interest payments- must face.
Let our country build a modest social enterprise not feed blood to a giant leech.
Social equity, that noble goal of Catholic and reformer also embraces the other matter of not how big the cake is but how it should be divided up as regards health spending and public salaries. Let us not precipitate a crisis by also trying to build an earthly paradise as some utopians desire because the wild beast that is capitalism would not allow it and imperialists in our neighbouring countries would attack us. All of our European neighbours are imperialists or at the very least have predatory ambitions against our country, foremost amongst them being Germany, Britain and France, not forgetting the United States and Canada.
Basta! Non sequi!
