"You have no friends in politics,only....

"...allies [because you are being used and abused by others who do not intend to pay you and at best regard you as an unpaid social worker,Karl Marx being typical of one of those used by such hurlers on the ditch...you will invariably end your days as AN OUTCAST or alcoholic or morphine-dependent,so take my advice while you're still young and have nothing to do with spoofers and sporting types such as the GAA and FAI or a Langer like Eoin O Murchu, less still Eugene Mc Cartan or Kieran Allen or the rest of that set of old hens who change their collective name every few years and want to talk about women's problems or where they dunged last]...he rejoined the IRA...no,[he wised up and told the pro-American bollockses to f... off and not come back to his door unless it was to pay him his wages and money for services rendered because people like Gerry Adams and Martin Mc Guinness made their name by pushing other people into the frontline to do what they hadn't the courage to do or the brains to work out or the determination to see through to the bitter end like he did]....."

Your real friends in politics won't come near you if you expose them to ridicule and even light-hearted critiques or if you expose them to danger-by that is meant arrest-then you can say goodbye or take a long hike "by the scenic route".

Nobody likes to be criticised be it Haughey or Fitzgerald or Lemass or any aspirant to high office since criticism costs them votes. What often goes with it, criticism of their contacts with and communications to police, puts them in considerable danger. They are dealing with serious matters and should be left alone to get on with their jobs unhindered by criticism unless it is fair and above board. In the case of the police, exposing police methods can often endanger their lives because they live on a knife edge between domesticity and crime.

Basta! Faceri con tutti! Silencio!

In articulating his grievance with myself on the subject of the imminent collapse of state socialism in its totalitarian form on the occasion mentioned above,O Riordain's bonhomie concealed a deadly purpose. That purpose was to expose me to mortal danger by conciling me to my enemies, the British Army, the CIA and Provo IRA (see elsewhere e.g. samizdateire.blogspot.com The Judgement).

My friends were in a tiny Incipient group of socialist rebels called the Socialist Workers Movement even though some of them represented the worst elements of the student intelligentsia and declared elements.

I found in them intelligent companions in the period after my unpaid literary endeavours had been exploited by nationalist socialists and fascist revanchist with knuckledusters and cutthroat razors who were all associated with crime, drug dealing and prostitution.
