Crossing the Rubicon. America as a target for a nuclear first strike

It is my belief that nuclear weapons could well be used in the foreseeable future. Boorish American oafs have had their bluff called openly. Their long-term plan ' to skin the bear claw-by-claw' has hit an insuperable object. Their undemocratic puppet in the Ukraine has run out of glib superlatives, kosher phrases and idle rhetoric. While it may appear that Russia has drawn back from the precipice by allowing grain exports, this is to be understood as a humanitarian gesture.

The world, because the US has rushed blindly in arming people to kill Russian soldiers is, now more than ever, even more so than during the Cuban Missile Crisis, poised on a nuclear precipice.

My role in 2005? Russian military modernization? Alternatives to East-West trade? Gas exports to China?

I have baited the trap well through my off-the-record conversations aimed at international equanimity in February to April 2005. Europe is irrelevant to Russian gas exports. The pipeline to China has already been put in place. Similarly,Western industrial production is becoming increasingly marginalised.

But how has the trap been baited?

By Russian rearmament since 2004-5 at my instigation.

The key to an unfolding nuclear confrontation is hypersonic intercontinental ballistic missiles. Between a combination of nuclear -armed cruise missiles in European Russia and ICBMs,Britain,France and the United States and Germany now enjoy the prospect of nuclear annihilation.

The Mutually Assured Destruction hypothesis? There can never be a nuclear balance of power no more than there ever could be at any time in recent history.

Why?

The US's population is almost entirely closely grouped together whereas Russia's vastnesses mean that Russia would be badly damaged by all-out nuclear warfare but almost all of the landmass would survive more or less intact.

To quote a familiar refrain of mine to one know-it-all, Dr. Diana Day-Cody,"One size doesn't fit all."

The zero-sum game so beloved of lecturers?

War,for Russia, means repelling fascist aggression. I agree with Putin and the Russian Ministry of Defence that the time to deal a decisive, irreversible blow to US-UK-NATO imperialism has come.

Many years ago,it came for Russia against Nazism in February-March 1943.

America and NATO,not Russia, have no cards left to play.
