True Commerce. True Industry

True commerce always sets itself up as your opposite, your contre-pos in a competitive or contradictory arrangement.

Marx because he was a contrapuntal foe of the industrialist set himself up in the relation of opponent or beggar to all forms of capitalism, that is,as an alternative to and a colleague of a merchant.

True industry or craft production or agricultural production vis-a-vis the other worker always sets itself up as your partner,a cooperative arrangement.  The worker or colleague in industry (and craft production before it) sets itself up usually  alongside you . This is the case where craft work survives.

Trade is always united with commerce and distribution is in harmony for the most part as opponents of the country of destination or the purchaser. That is,apart from in times of prolonged bloodletting and dynastic wars. Note those between the French and the Holy Alliance between 1789 and 1815.

In exasperation at the combination of English commerce and trade, Napoleon is reputed to have referred to his reactionary nemesis, England,as "a nation of shopkeepers" an admission of defeat in the face of what Marx called Money.

Basta! Non sequire!
